Anti-Wrinkle Injections
Nuceiva, Botox, Dysport, Xeomin are natural, purified botulinum type A protein, approved by Health Canada for safe treatment of horizontal forehead wrinkles, 11s frown lines, crows feet, neck rejuvenation, hyperhidrosis and migraines. Other off-label treatment areas include, brow lift, bunny lines, nose lift, nasal flare, gummy smile, lip flip, upper lip lines, marionette/frown lines, chin dimpling, jaw slimming. It works by relaxing over active muscles below skin to create smooth, refreshed and youthful appearance. It is a non-surgical, relatively painless procedure that only takes about 15-30 minutes, full results are seen within 14 days post treatment. A follow up with your provider may be scheduled after 2 weeks to evaluate your final results. Anti-wrinkle injections are not permanent and can last approximately 3-4 months. Significant benefits of this treatment are prolonged softening of fine lines, wrinkles, creases in facial skin, which provides a lasting youthful appearance. You may have discomfort, mild headache, minor bruising and bleeding, which will subside quickly.
After your treatment, we recommend to stay upright/no bending for 4 hours, Tylenol for headache if needed, mosquito bite-like redness will subside; do not massage areas, avoid high heats, alcohol and strenuous exercise for 24 hours.
Nuceiva, Botox, Dysport, Xeomin can also treat excessive sweating of underarms (hyperhidrosis). It works by blocking targeted over active sebaceous sweat glands to prevent excessive sweat production after small relatively painless injections. Dermal Fillers
Revanesse, Teosyal, Restylane, Juvederm, Stylage are safe dermal fillers made of hyaluronic acid gel (HA). HA is a sugar molecule naturally occurring in the skin to keep it plump and moisturized by retaining water. With age, HA and collagen break down and fat pads diminish and descend to the centre of the lower face. This causes visible volume loss and deep set static lines. Dermal filler restores volume loss, contours, enhances, rejuvenates, and hydrates skin for a smooth, youthful appearance. This is a temporary, non-surgical, injectable procedure, enhancing cheek contour and volume, temples, jawline, chin, lips, softening nasolabial folds (smile lines), marionette lines, peri-oral lines and necklace lines. To reduce discomfort, we apply a topical numbing cream for 15-30 minutes. This procedure takes 45 minutes+ total, results are instant and last 6-12+ months depending on the area treated. Because HA is a natural component of the skin, our bodies eventually metabolizes it with time. After your treatment, your provider will massage the area to integrate and shape the product, do NOT massage yourself. We recommend to avoid alcohol, high heats and exercise for 24-48 hours, avoid dental work and immunizations for 2 weeks, and lay on your back when sleeping for 1 week if possible. Minor swelling, bruising and bleeding is temporary and can be treated with Tylenol, cool compress and Arnica.
If you develop rare blanching (whiteness), lace-pattern bruising spreading in areas not injected and pain not alleviated with Tylenol; get in contact with your provider as soon as possible for a follow up appointment, to rule out any complications that could require treatment. Glowing Chemical Peel
This treatment involves controlled resurfacing and exfoliation using a prescription strength, medical-grade chemical peel solution.
This treatment will exfoliate dead skin cells, stimulate skin renewal, minimize the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and pores. This treatment will also help to lighten hyperpigmentation, including age spots, discolouration and uneven skin tone. This treatment is great for acne - prone skin as it will target blemishes, remove impurities and improve scarring for a smoother, healthier appearance.
This peel is customizable, so we can increase the strength by the number of layers applied onto the skin.
For best results, 4-6 treatments are generally recommended. Treatments can be repeated every 2-6 weeks.
Immediately after the treatment heat sensation and redness can be expected, and usually resolves within 20-30 minutes.
Up to 2 weeks after the treatment you may experience temporary itchiness, dryness, flaking or skin peeling, usually around the mouth area. However, you may not peel.
